Electromagnetic meters provide obstruction free flow measurement of all conductive liquids including: chemicals, food stuffs, pulps, acids, pharmaceuticals and effluent. Their high accuracy is unaffected by changes in fluid viscosity, line pressure, temperature or density. They are available with a choice of liners, outputs, connections and displays.
They are also suitable for applications with high solids content due to their non-intrusive design. Measurement is achieved via two electrodes mounted in the body of the meter which sense the changes in a magnetic field caused by the passage of electrically conductive liquids. The measurement of this electromotive force is based on Faraday’s Law of Electromagnetic Induction and the resulting signal is conditioned by the integral or remote mounted converter to give accurate measurement of flow rate.
